flying banana

gears grinding in my headabsent minded professorAs a former, absent minded (still very much so) professor (not so during these glorious days of retirement), this site is dedicated to my passion for jazz and all the marvelous musicians I have had the good fortune to perform with, study with, or just listen to perform. Thank each and every one of you!!! And, a very special thanks to the marvelous musicians from around the world, whom I have had the good fortune to meet and get acquainted with online.

Jazz at Nite originally started out as a vanity email address, in the same manner some people buy vanity license plates. It has grown, shrunk, disappeared, morphed, evolved, and whatever else into the site you are now viewing. It is not meant to be flippant or an insult to anyone. At the same time Jazz at Nite is designed to convey some serious information about jazz and saxophones, as well as to offer some comic relief in the midst of everything else.
have a nice day
