NOTICE:

This site has been resurrected from the dead, on 15 April 2008, and will be sporadically revised during the course of 2008 (to help keep my blood pressure under control because of the upcoming elections).

Jazz***
and whatever else strikes my fancy
As a former, absent minded (still very much so) professor (not so during these glorious days of retirement), this site is dedicated to my passion for jazz and all the marvelous musicians I have had the good fortune to perform with, study with, or just listen to perform. Thank each and every one of you!!! And, a very special thanks to the marvelous musicians from around the world, whom I have had the good fortune to meet and get acquainted with online.
Jazz at Nite originally started out as a vanity email address, in the same manner some people buy vanity license plates. It has grown, shrunk, disappeared, morphed, evolved, and whatever else into the site you are now viewing. It is not meant to be flippant or an insult to anyone. At the same time Jazz at Nite is designed to convey some serious information about jazz and saxophones, as well as to offer some comic relief in the midst of everything else.

The links at the bottom work and will take you to the various pages of this web site, which I hope you enjoy reading.

Peter Guidi, a self-taught sax and flute player, now based in the Netherlands, has the best collection of jazz jokes I can find online.
