My Closing Comment
I will NOT be available to respond to questions or comments for the last 2 hours of the auction and still not available up until a couple of hours after it ends.
My wife came home from work with a severely injured knee, from the day before, and can't walk at the moment.
We'll be heading out to her hometown chiropractor for treatment and to run a few errands while there.

Please excuse me if this is inconvenient for you.
Thanks for considering this bari sax and for bidding, should you do so!

My basic Keilwerth SX-90, Baritone Saxophone sale ad

This wonderful, Low-A, professional, Keilwerth SX-90 bari sax has great intonation up and down the entire register, smooth and fast handling action, a real sweet sound and has been recently tuned and checked.  The serial number is 106038, manufactured in 1997 .  When I bought this bari, about 3 years ago, as the second owner, from a professional sax player no longer playing bari himself, I was playing it 4 or more days a week.  In that sense this truly has been a great players horn, rehearsed on and performed on quite regularly.

Now I only play bari only once in a rare while, and then only  for my own pleasure.  Most of the time, I am using my alto for unaccompanied solos, especially when leading church, student, seniors and other groups in learning new songs and singing in general.  Using an alto allows me to stand in front of and walk around through these various groups, while working with them to enjoy their singing.  Then I'm playing a lot of tenor in community bands. Some of this is better explained by seeing more about Me by clicking on the Me symbol next to my eBay identity.

The lacquer is clean and intact, with minimal wear, as can be seen in the photos .  There are some blemishes and small wear spots from this horn having been a heavily used players horn.  In addition to the standard 6 pictures I've posted for this eBay ad, almost 40 photos of this sax, from every angle I could think of, plus additional descriptive information can be found on my jazz website, at http://www.jazzatnite.com/sx90.html The scratches on the horn are illustrated in these photos, as best I can show.  I've kind of worked against myself by magnifying blemishes and scratches.  This means some of the photo images of worn areas are magnified larger than in reality so you can really examine them closely. There are a few very slightly dinged areas on the bow, not impressed much deeper than below the tip and above the shoulder of one of your reeds.  There are also some lacquer scratches at the bottom of the bow section - please examine these particular photos closely and ask for more information or photos if needed.  There's also a bit of lacquer wear on the back side of the bell, about the size of a quarter is worn off and there's some spotted wear surrounding that. Please email me if the additonal pics and info will not load on your computer and you would like them emailed to you.  Also, please let me know if you want the pics in a zipped file or as individual photos, in a series of email.

According to Keilwerth web site (I had to remove this description header from the eBay ad as it constitutes a second link, even though it is static, and only one link of any nature is allowed):   The Keilwerth SX 90 baritone saxophone produces a rich, deep tone [in my experience, it is a slightly brighter tone than the rolled-tone hole model SX 90R]. The SX 90 has the capability of blending into a jazz ensemble or cutting through during solos. Adjustable palm keys make the SX 90 Baritone saxophone comfortable and easy to play, allowing the musician to concentrate on his performance and not his horn.

This SX-90 bari sax is being sold on a 3 day trial basis, from when you first receive it.  If it is not what is listed and described in this ad, or you find serious damages not explained in this ad, then please return the sax, in the same condition received, for a full refund, at the end of the 3 day trial period, with you the buyer paying the shipping and insurance, as somewhat of an inexpensive 3 day rental policy for trying the horn. This horn is being sold with the same risks all of us take, buying and selling horns online, since it has been playing well, for the three years or so that I've have had and played it.  Even though this sax was recently tweeked by my favorite repair technician, who's an excellent jazz saxophonist who played and travelled with the Stan Kenton band before settling down in Dayton, where he was the lead alto sax player for the Dayton Jazz Orchestra for a long time, we all know there are potential risks, as both buyers and sellers, involved in purchasing horns online, which is why I am offering a 3 day trial period on this top flight professional horn.

While I continue to think there is no significant damage and that the horn is in fairly clean condition for having been played a fair amount over the years, such an assessment is something personal with all of us; this horn has served me very well, so I like to think kindly of it.  For example, and not to be rude, my wife and I were both married previously and that's part of what makes us appreciate each other even more.  Our dings and scratches give each of us unique personalities that are wonderful for ourselves and each other.  At the same time, if my last car had not been a modified version of the old English racing green, nothing else about it mattered - I went in and told the saleswoman that she could show me everything in the lot but all I was interested in purchasing was green, regardless of model, accessories, etc.

In what I hope is a sensitive, caring, and responsive spirit expressed above, please let me know if I can provide any other detailed photos or additional information, to help improve your personal evaluation of this horn.  Email me and I will respond as quickly as I am available.

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully,
before placing your bid!

TERMS and CONDITIONS
The winning bidder is expected to contact me within 3 days after the auction is completed.

Payment
I prefer PayPal payments. Money orders and cashiers checks are also acceptable. If you cannot pay by one of these methods then please do not bid. The payment is due no later than 7 days after the winning bidder is notified of the total costs, including shipping, handling, and insurance.

Shipping
Shipping and handling will cost the successful buyer $35, regardless of what it costs me to pack, insure and ship the horn. If the closing bid is $3000 or more, I will pay the entire shipping, handling, and insurance costs to initially get the horn to you. The horn will be professionally packed and shipped (by UPS, which seems to have less damage with horns than the USPS, in my experience) within 48 hours after receiving your payment.  PLEASE , contact UPS and myself IMMEDIATELY if you have evidence of damages during shipping.

Specific Terms and Conditions
If you have no feedback or negative feedback, please contact me before bidding. I will need to know and verify that you have a valid email address and that I have a way to contact you. I describe all listed items as well as I possibly can so that you know what to expect. I do not offer any warrantee for any products unless otherwise stated in the item description, which I have done by providing a 3 day trial period with this bari sax. However, I will guarantee that the item will arrive to you as described above in the item description. Please Email me with any questions that you may have before you bid. Once you bid it is too late and it is a legal, binding contract. All Non-Paying Bidders will be reported to eBay. Please do not bid unless you intend to pay.

If something is not listed above - if it's not included or not stated, do not assume anything! Please email me to clarify or verify anything of importance to you!

If you have ANY questions PLEASE contact me BEFORE bidding!
Thanks for this thoughtfulness.

I will accept bids from and ship to Canada.

And, just in case, if you do turn out to be one of those folks who register under a new identity, run the bid up, then default, whatever befalls you will be the karma of your own choosing as all I'll do is either sell it on a second chance option or re-list it and start over, once I have waited out whatever nuisance period you might have caused self-respecting, decent, and serious bidders by your nonsense.

May Peace Be With You Always!!!
